What is Anker soundcore Translation Earbuds?
Anker sells several soundcore earbuds that also translate speech through the free Anker soundcore phone app. The line is led by the open-ear AeroFit 2 AI Assistant and also includes the AeroFit 2, the AeroClip 2 clip-on earbuds and the Liberty 5 Pro Max, whose touchscreen charging case can start translation. Face-to-Face Translation plays your translated words from the phone and the other person's translated words in your earbuds, while Real-Time Translation interprets a talk or lecture into your ears. Anker gives a figure of 100 languages (100+ on some pages), and the earbuds work as normal music and call earbuds too.

How Anker soundcore Translation Earbuds uses AI
Anker says translation on the AeroFit 2 is 'driven by Azure AI Speech', Microsoft's cloud speech-translation service, and runs through the soundcore app. On the AeroFit 2 AI Assistant you can also say 'Hey Anka' and then 'Start Translation' to begin translating by voice.

- Translation needs the Anker soundcore app on a smartphone (iPhone or Android); Anker says it does not work on PCs or tablets, and the iOS app is listed for iPhone only
- Plan on a data connection: Anker describes the translation as cloud-based and says the Liberty 5 Pro Max needs an internet connection to translate
- You pick the language pair yourself; Anker says automatic language detection is currently unavailable
- Translation does not work during phone calls or while Dual Connections (pairing with two devices) is switched on
- In Face-to-Face mode the other person hears your translation from your phone, so keep the phone close to them
- Update the soundcore app (version 3.8.7 or later) and the earbud firmware before travelling to get the AI Translation feature

When checked, time-limited promotions ending 18 October 2026 (US Pacific time) took US$20 off the AeroFit 2 AI Assistant (to US$109.99) and US$50 off the AeroFit 2 (to US$79.99). On the Liberty 5 Pro Max, AI transcription (not translation) includes 120 free minutes a month for 24 months; more needs a paid plan (Pro US$15.99 a month, US$69.99 for 6 months or US$99.99 a year; Unlimited US$239.99 a year).
