What is Moshimo?
Moshimo is a phone app for visitors to Japan who need to call a business that has no booking or chat button. You add the business's Japanese phone number, describe what you need in your own language, review the request and confirm, and Moshimo calls in Japanese and reports back in the app: what the business said, what was arranged and what still needs your decision, with the transcript and recording when available. Its examples include asking for a restaurant, bar, onsen or salon reservation, telling a restaurant you are running late, checking tattoo or luggage policies, and asking a hotel about a lost item. The app is published by Zero Innovavi Limited in Hong Kong and the service is run by Kenichi LLC in Tokyo.

How Moshimo uses AI
Moshimo says its 'AI-assisted caller' explains your request to the business in Japanese and asks for an answer; its terms and privacy policy say calls are placed, recorded, transcribed and summarised through Retell AI and its telephony and model providers.

Keep in mind
- It calls only businesses in Japan, and you need the business's Japanese phone number
- One free call per new account; after that each call needs a Call Pass (from US$19.99 for 7 days and 15 call minutes), and unused minutes expire
- Each call is limited to five minutes, and only one request can be calling at a time
- The business decides what it can arrange, so an answer is not a guarantee; confirm important details yourself
- Your request details go to Retell AI and its telephony and model providers, and calls are recorded and transcribed once you agree
- Not for emergencies or medical or legal help

Free + paid plan. Free to download, with free request previews and one free call per new account. Further calls need a Call Pass, a one-off purchase that does not renew: US$19.99 for 7 days and 15 minutes, US$33.99 for 14 days and 30 minutes, or US$47.99 for 28 days and 45 minutes (US base prices). A pass starts with its first connected call.
