What is VoyaBear?
VoyaBear is a trip planner for the web, iPhone and Android from Voyager AI Limited, a London company founded by Jen-Yu Teng. A short quiz gives you a travel personality, and the chat assistant uses it with your destination, dates, companions and pace to build a day-by-day itinerary you can edit, share with travel companions and use offline during the trip. It also keeps booking confirmations you forward as tickets, a bucket list and a map of places you have been, plus free tools such as a visa checker and a cost calculator.
Cost: Free + paid plan (Paid from US$0.99 one-off). Booking: Sends you to book elsewhere. Works on: Web, iPhone, Android.
Best for: Travellers, couples and small groups who want a first-draft day plan shaped to their pace and a shared trip they can carry offline.
How VoyaBear uses AI
The assistant answers travel questions, plans and edits trips and finds places nearby; its terms describe AI-generated day-by-day itineraries and AI-curated suggestions, and the privacy policy says OpenAI powers itinerary and recommendation generation. Place data comes from VoyaBear's own destination database, and the wording around it is generated.
Booking: Sends you to book elsewhere.
Keep in mind
- It doesn't book anything: flights hand off to Google Flights, hotels to Hotels.com and tours to Viator, and VoyaBear earns affiliate fees on those links
- The free plan runs on coins (50 to start; a full trip plan uses 20 and each message 1), so heavy planning needs coin top-ups or VoyaBear+
- VoyaBear says its generated wording can be wrong about opening hours, prices and visa rules, and asks you to check official sources before you book or travel
- Saving trips, the map and tickets needs a free account; without one, a quiz result stays in that browser only
Is VoyaBear free? Cost and plans
Free + paid plan. Free, with 50 starter coins for the AI and more from in-app quests. VoyaBear+ (£29.00 a year on the website) makes the AI tools unlimited and adds 600 coins a year; the US App Store also lists VoyaBear+ at US$29.99 without stating the period. Coin packs cost US$0.99 to US$12.99 and never expire.
