What is Claude?
Claude is Anthropic's general AI assistant. Web search, memory and connectors are included on all plans, and connectors include Booking.com, Tripadvisor, Viator, AllTrails and Expedia's flight and hotel search. On paid plans, the Claude in Chrome extension reads pages you are signed in to and clicks, types and fills in forms, while purchases and other one-way actions wait for your approval.
Cost: Free + paid plan (Paid from US$20 per month). Booking: Books for you on paid plans. Works on: Web, Mac or Windows app, iPhone, Android, Browser extension.
Best for: People who want one assistant for trip research and connector searches, with browser help on bookings on a paid plan.
How Claude uses AI
Claude searches the web for current information, calls travel connectors to look up stays, flights, tours and trails inside the chat, and in Chrome carries out multi-step tasks on websites.
Booking: Books for you on paid plans. Check who the seller is before you confirm: their change and refund rules apply to anything it books.
Keep in mind
- Claude in Chrome is not available on the Free plan
- Claude in Chrome works only in Google Chrome on a computer; Anthropic says other Chromium-based browsers and mobile devices are not supported
- Purchases, financial actions and other one-way steps wait for the user in Claude in Chrome
- Anthropic says it does not control which tools connector developers make available
