What is Booking.com AI Trip Planner?
Booking.com's AI Trip Planner launched in beta to selected US Genius members in June 2023, partly powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT API. You ask general or specific travel questions and get destination ideas, itineraries and a visual list of properties with Booking.com prices and links to view them. By October 2024 it was live in the mobile app in the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, alongside Smart Filter (describe your ideal property in your own words) and Property Q&A.
Cost: No separate charge (Comes with the device or service). Booking: You book in the same app. Works on: Inside Booking.com.
Best for: Booking.com app users who want help narrowing destinations and properties before booking on Booking.com.

- Mobile app only as of the latest official market update (October 2024); a desktop version was announced but not confirmed
- Launched requiring sign-in and English language settings
- Booking.com has not published an update on the standalone planner since October 2024, and said in October 2025 that its AI features are moving into an AI companion embedded across the booking journey, so the feature may appear under a different name
