What is Tripadvisor AI trip builder?

Tripadvisor launched an AI-powered itinerary generator in its Trips product in July 2023, in public beta for US users on desktop and mobile web, using OpenAI's generative AI. You enter a destination, dates, companions and interests and get a day-by-day plan you can save, edit and share. Its iOS app now advertises an 'AI trip builder' that gives custom recommendations based on your saves, plus AI summaries of what travellers say in reviews; the app also lets you book experiences and hotels.

Cost: No separate charge (Comes with the device or service). Booking: You book in the same app. Works on: Web, iPhone, Inside Tripadvisor.

Best for: Travellers who trust Tripadvisor reviews and want a day-by-day plan they can then book from.
