Perplexity's AI browser whose assistant can search travel sites and do bookings for you

  • Books for you on paid plans

What is Comet?

Comet is Perplexity's web browser for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android with a built-in AI assistant. Perplexity says the assistant can work across several tabs on multi-step jobs, such as searching major sites for the cheapest flight, and describes it handling tasks like booking hotels and flights. It asks before running a task directly in your browser and adds a confirmation step when it needs to fill in user details it does not already know.

Cost: Free + paid plan (Paid from US$20 per month). Booking: Books for you on paid plans. Works on: iPhone, Android.

Best for: Perplexity subscribers who want an agent to compare fares and work through booking sites inside their own browser.

How Comet uses AI

The Comet Assistant navigates sites, clicks buttons and fills in forms across multiple tabs to complete tasks you describe, pulling context from the pages it visits.

Booking: Books for you on paid plans. Check who the seller is before you confirm: their change and refund rules apply to anything it books.

Keep in mind

  • Comet browser agent queries are not included in Perplexity's Free plan; Pro has monthly limits
  • Running many agentic tasks in parallel is a Max-plan feature
  • Comet asks for approval before acting on connected services and before filling in unknown user details

Is Comet free? Cost and plans

Free + paid plan. The browser is free to download; assistant (agent) queries need a Perplexity Pro ($20/month) or Max subscription and are subject to usage limits.
