What is Google Pixel Voice Translate?

On Pixel 10 and later phones, Live Translate for phone calls (called Voice translate on the Pixel 10 series) translates speech during a call and mimics your natural voice and tone. It works between English and ten languages, including French, German, Hindi, Japanese and Spanish. Google says it runs on the device and works without an internet connection.

How Google Pixel Voice Translate uses AI

Google says the feature runs fully on-device and 'uses AI to translate phone calls while retaining what sounds like each speaker's voice'; conversations are not sent to Google's servers.
